I get a lot of spam....

I get a friggin' lot of spam...

This page tells you how much spam is currently on my desktop. It's here for informative purposes. It's here because I want sympathy for this problem. It's here to show that spam does not work (I have never, not once, purchased anything, clicked through, or perused anything because of spam). It's here because I FRIGGIN' HATE SPAM!. (You can read more about how much I hate spam here.)

The breakdown for what these folders mean goes like this:

• Spambox-main is where mail filtered by SpamAssassin and Vipul's Razor goes.
• Spambox-Flora is where spam sent to the rest of the people on my geekcomix.com hosting cluster goes (i.e., spam from people within my cluster... boy I would sure like to get these bastards kicked off).
• Spambox-IM are spam that is missed by the rest of my filters and spam that I have to deal with personally.
• Viribox is where all Windows viruses go (I use Linux, so I don't worry about them harming me in any way other than eating up my disk space)

Notice from this that SpamAssassin and Vipul's Razor work very well at filtering my spam, and only a very small percentage of spam gets through. So if you are in needs of spam filtration, I would recommend these two tools highly!

NOTE: This spam is only since around July 2002! That was when I started keeping my spam for tabulation purposes. It also does not include my work address.
