Tux Typing Themes: Please choose one of the classifications above and browse the available Tux Typing themes. A theme HOWTO is coming soon!

To install a theme, unzip the theme downloaded into your Tux Typing data directory. On Linux and other Unix machines, this is typically:

/usr/local/share/tuxtype/
On Windows and BeOS machines, it is where ever you installed Tux Typing into.

After the theme has been installed, run Tux Typing with the "--theme" or "-t" command line specifying the theme you wish to use. For example, if you are trying to load the "french" theme, run Tux Typing with the following command line:

tuxtype --theme french

Please note that currently theme support in Tux Typing is very preliminary! We are still working out the kinks and finalizing the support. You can use themes presently, but bear in mind that we really will not be focusing on theme implimentation until the 1.1-1.2 development cycle.

If you would like to contribute, please check out the Developer's Page and join the Developer's Mailing List.
