TuxMath Developer Resources
The Tux of Math Command project ("TuxMath" for short), is being hosted by the great folks at
SourceForge. You can find it's project page
here.
Here are some of the administrative and developmental features we use:
- TuxMath News: Here is where you will find
all the latest news items relating to the TuxMath project.
- Bug Submission/Tracking: If you are a
tester, this is where you can submit bugs. If you are a developer, feel free to browse these listed
bugs and see if you can resolve them.
- Mailing Lists: TuxMath has two
mailing lists available, one for developers
and one for announcements. The developer one
is for those interrested in assisting with the project by contributing code or finding bugs. The announcement one
is a very low traffic, moderated list for TuxMath related announcements.
- CVS: The source code for TuxMath is stored
in the CVS at SourceForge. It can be obtained (anonymously) and tracked here. Some links relating to CVS are:
- Open Source Development with CVS by Karl Fogel is an excellent book on CVS. It can be purchased
here, and selected chapters (covered by the Gnu GPL)
can be found here.
- SourceForge has a nice HOWTO
on CVS as it pertains to SourceForge's repository. They also have a FAQ.
TuxMath also uses an IRC channel on OpenProjects Network.
