Atari2600This was the first system to use programmable cartridges to allow developers make new games for the system. This system also featured the first video game to have and ending, Pitfall? by Activision.
The greatest thing about this system is that now you can download and play all these old games, legally and for free, on your modern computer using an emulator (my favorite is Stella for Linux).
